Dog Journey is an app for owners of dogs of every breed — pure, mixed or unknown: the dog's profile, the journey through the stages of its life, a health record with reminders, documents, travel and identification, places nearby, and with Dog Journey Plus — a cloud copy, sharing with a veterinarian and the pack (the dogs and owners you know).
Dog Journey is not a veterinary service. The health record, the stage guidance and the reminders are a notebook, not a doctor: they do not replace an examination, a diagnosis or advice from a veterinarian. Guidance by breed, size or age is general information, not a recommendation for your particular dog.
The core of the app is free and works without an account: the dog's profile, the journey, the health record, the documents, travel readiness and places nearby live on your phone.
Dog Journey Plus is a monthly subscription that adds a cloud copy of the record (it survives a change of phone), sharing with a veterinarian, the pack and other features described in the app. The price is the one shown in the app and in the App Store or Google Play for your country, before you confirm anything. We do not intend a free feature to become part of Plus; should that ever be necessary, it is announced as a change under section 14, and the data on your phone remains yours and accessible.
An account is needed only for Dog Journey Plus and for the features that require a server: the cloud copy, sharing, the pack. Without an account everything stays on your device.
An account may be created by a person aged 18 or over. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details safe.
How data is processed is set out in the Privacy Policy. The essence: without an account the record does not leave the phone; with an account and Plus it is copied to the server, together with the dog's photos and documents; all visibility settings are off by default; location is used only for the features you explicitly use, as described there.
When you enter data about other people — a previous owner, a breeder, a veterinarian — you are responsible for having grounds to do so. Write about the dog, not about the people.
Without an account the only copy is on the device — a lost phone without a cloud copy means a lost record. With Plus the record is also kept on the server and survives a change of phone. Closing the account or the end of Plus never deletes what is on your phone.
When Plus ends, the cloud copy is kept for a further 12 months so that you can come back and receive it on a new device; after that it is deleted from the server. You can delete it earlier — from the app or by closing the account.
Sharing creates a link: whoever has the link sees what is shared — without an account and without a password, deliberately. Treat the link as a document; you choose the scope and can revoke it at any time — a revoked link stops immediately. Sending it is your action and your choice of recipient.
An introduction between two dogs happens with a QR code scanned live between two phones — scanning the code creates the introduction at the request of both owners. Either side can end it.
A group walk is an invitation: its place, time and text are visible to people nearby who have not blocked you. "Dogs nearby" shows your dog on the map only if you have turned visibility on — it is off by default — and always approximately, to the level you choose (country or city), never exactly.
All notifications are off by default.
The content you publish — a dog's profile, a walk announcement, a review, a point on the map — is visible to other people according to your settings. Not allowed: illegal content; insults, threats and harassment; third parties' personal data (including previous owners' and veterinarians') without grounds; advertising and spam; false claims about places or people; fake or paid reviews; content that is not about dogs. We are not obliged to monitor content in advance and we do not.
Reporting. Any content and any user can be reported from within the app, and the author blocked; blocked content is hidden from you. A notice of illegal content can also be sent to support@heppsu.com with a link to or a description of where the content is, why you consider it illegal, and how to contact you.
What we do. A person, not an automated system, reviews the report and replies to the sender. In case of a violation the content is removed or restricted and the author receives a statement of reasons: which rule was violated and what follows. The author may object within 14 days at support@heppsu.com; the objection is reviewed by a person who did not take the first decision. A review is never removed merely because it is negative. In case of repeated violations, access to the pack features or to the account may be restricted — with reasons and an opportunity to object.
A review of a place is public: one rating per user per place, changeable. If you mark a place on the map, the point is public — a place is a shared resource. The map uses OpenStreetMap data (© OpenStreetMap contributors, ODbL licence) — the attribution is also shown on the map itself in the app.
Dog Journey Plus may start with a free trial period shown in the app — one per customer across all our apps; eligibility for the trial is checked by us on activation, and where the store offers its own introductory offer, under the store's rules. After the trial, Plus renews monthly at the price shown for your country until you cancel; a lapsed or ended subscription does not receive a second trial.
The purchase and the renewal go through the App Store / Google Play; you cancel from the store's settings, at any time, effective from the end of the paid period. One Plus subscription covers every Heppsu dog app you use with the same account. When Plus ends, only the Plus features stop — nothing of yours is deleted (for the cloud copy see section 5), and the free core keeps working.
Closing the account does not cancel the subscription in the store. The subscription is cancelled separately, from the App Store / Google Play settings; otherwise the store keeps charging it. The app reminds you of this before you delete the account.
Right of withdrawal. As a consumer you have the right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days without giving a reason (Directive 2011/83/EU, the Bulgarian Consumer Protection Act). Because you buy through the App Store / Google Play, the withdrawal and the refund are requested from the store under its procedure (Apple: reportaproblem.apple.com; Google Play: Payments & subscriptions → Order history). If at purchase you agree that Plus starts immediately, before the 14 days have passed, the store may by law refuse a refund for the service already provided — this does not affect your rights below.
Lack of conformity. If Plus does not work as described here and in the app, you have the rights under Directive (EU) 2019/770 and the Bulgarian Act on the supply of digital content and digital services and the sale of goods: bringing the service into conformity within a reasonable time and free of charge, and failing that — a proportionate price reduction or termination of the contract. Write to support@heppsu.com; we reply within 14 days. Our liability for lack of conformity is neither excluded nor limited by these terms.
Complaints. The Bulgarian Consumer Protection Commission (kzp.bg) or the alternative dispute resolution body for consumer disputes of your place of residence.
The app is provided with the care of a diligent trader, without a guarantee of uninterrupted operation.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Dog Journey is not liable for: decisions based on the health record, the stage guidance or the reminders (section 1); the content of other users' reviews and profiles; the consequences of a link you passed on or lost (section 6); loss of data kept only on the device without a cloud copy (section 5); meetings and introductions between dogs — those are between the owners; the accuracy of places imported from OpenStreetMap (vet, groomer, pet store, hotel — address, phone, hours, emergency care) — in a genuine emergency, call ahead to confirm; travel rules of a country, which change — always check the official source before you travel.
Liability for intent or gross negligence, for death or personal injury, and your rights in case of lack of conformity under section 11 are neither excluded nor limited. Nothing here limits your rights as a consumer under applicable consumer protection law and EU law.
The app, the code, the design, the texts, the breed illustrations and the Dog Journey brand belong to Heppsu Consulting EOOD or are licensed to us. You receive a personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable licence to use the app on your devices in accordance with these terms and the rules of the store you downloaded it from.
Your content — photos, documents, reviews, points on the map, the dog's profile — remains yours. You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to store, copy and display it only as far as needed for the service: to you, to the people you share it with, and for public reviews and points — to all users. The licence ends when you delete the content or close the account, except for backups within the periods set out in the Privacy Policy.
We may change these terms only for a valid reason: a change in the law or in the stores' requirements, security, new or changed features, a change in our costs or suppliers. The change and the reason for it are announced at least 30 days in advance in the app and, if you have an account, by email as well. If the change affects you adversely, you may terminate the contract at no cost within 30 days of the notice — by cancelling Plus in the store (section 10) and/or closing your account; a period already paid for remains yours to the end. Changes solely in your favour or purely editorial ones may take effect immediately.
You may close your account at any time from within the app; the local data remains on your device. Access may be restricted in case of abuse — fake reviews, third parties' personal data, misuse of QR introductions — with reasons given and an opportunity to object (section 8).
The terms exist in every language supported by the app — the version in the language in which you accepted them is binding on you.
Bulgarian law applies. If you are a consumer habitually resident in another EU or EEA country, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of that country (Regulation (EC) No 593/2008, Article 6). As a consumer you may bring a claim against us either before the courts of your place of residence or before the Bulgarian courts; we may bring a claim against you only before the courts of your place of residence (Regulation (EU) No 1215/2012).
